As I sit here...

Here I sit in my digital illustration class... all caught up with nothing of importance to do but think... So here are some random thoughts that have been going through my head lately and news on my beautiful family...

Alyson -- Ally will be the BIG 5 in May and she is super excited about it!! She has grown so much in the last year that she NEVER ceases to amaze me. She is reading, spelling, and doing simple math. She is very opinionated, but in a good way, and is a HUGE daddy's girl. Any time she can be right next to him she is doing so. Her hair is growing so fast and it is darkening... which I don't know if I like yet *wink*. I love my blue-eyed blond baby... SSSSHHHH don't tell her I called her my baby... she "isn't a baby anymore..."

David -- Well what can I say about my hubby? He is an amazing man who does any and everything for his family. He loves us unconditionally and puts nothing before us. He works hard and plays harder!! He is still running the farm, working a 9 hour day at work and then comes home and is working away there too. I love him more today and yesterday.

ME?? -- Well I am a full-time student at LCC and am changing my major once again. I am going into Education (special education emphasis) and then will apply for the nursing program in 2012. I am falling in love with my canon 60d more and more everyday. I have done a few sessions and am excited to see if I will get the opportunity to do more this spring and summer!! I didn't think that I would like taking "people" pictures as much as I do but I am really falling for it!! The smiles that I have seen on my clients faces is amazing and I love making them happy because that is what will make me happy!! I am excited to see where God is taking my family and I... So many POSITIVE things have happened in the last year and I feel like I am finally secure... which, if you know me AT ALL, is very hard to do for me...

BABY? or NO BABY? -- we are still trying and hopefully one day we will be expanding our happy little clan!!  BUT THAT IS FOR ANOTHER POST!!

I don't have any pictures for this one, since I am at school, but I will be making a pic only post later tonight!!

Fresh Start....

Fresh Start...

Well Welcome to my Blog... This is going to serve two purposes... To keep family and friends in the "know" about our 'lil' ole farm life and to be the home to my sneak peeks... creations... and other photography related FUN!!

So here is my first little post... and by little I mean it... :-)

My name is Gina and I have a wonderful husband, Dave, and a beautiful daughter, Alyson. Dave and I have been married for almost 3 years and I am loving EVERY, well almost lol, every minute of it! Alyson will be 5 in two months and she is super excited about it. I am a full time wife, mother, student, and child of God. He is an amazing God and proves it everyday. I love photography and from what my momma says, always have. I love capturing moments, scenes, or places that not everyone might notice. Right now I am just freelancing but I fall in love more and more everytime I get behind the lens.  I am from a small town and left for the big city.... but came back and love it.

** I have to put my disclaimer on here now just because I think that it needs to be put out there about my photography...** I am a NATURAL LIGHT FREELANCE photographer who loves being behind the lens. I don't now, nor have I ever, claimed to be a PROFESSIONAL photographer... maybe one day but not right now.. I am still learning as I go but love every minute of it. I want nothing more than to make a client happy whether it be in a session or just having them enjoy my other artwork. I have to give the credit to God. He is the leader and I am just trying to follow him, where ever he may go... **
